Thermal Lamination PET Film for Freeze-Dried Food Packaging
Hot laminated PET film: an innovative solution for freeze-drying food packaging. Today, with the continuous advancement of food preservation technology, freeze-dried food has become a new favorite in the market due to its lightweight and complete nutritional retention. As the core material of its packaging, thermally laminated PET film is redefining food packaging standards through technological innovation.
Material Characteristics: Triple Protection System
Physical Barrier
Using a biaxially oriented polyester substrate, a nanoscale dense structure is formed, with an oxygen permeability of less than 5cm³/m²*24h and a water vapor permeability of less than 2g/m²*24h, effectively blocking the penetration of external gases and moisture. Verified in the laboratory, it can extend the shelf life of freeze-dried food to 12-18 months.
Chemical Stability
The benzene ring structure of PET molecular chains endows it with excellent acid and alkali resistance, preventing swelling or degradation in pH 2-12 environments, ensuring safety when in contact with various freeze-dried foods such as fruits, meat, and coffee.
Heat Sealing Performance
Low temperature heat sealing (120-150℃) is achieved through EVA co-extrusion layer, with a sealing strength of 8-12N/15mm, avoiding damage to the structure of freeze-dried food caused by high temperature.
Technological Innovation: Upgrading Intelligent Packaging
Metalization Treatment
By using vacuum aluminum plating technology, a metal layer with a thickness of only 0.1μm is formed on the surface of PET, reducing the oxygen transmission rate to 0.5cm³/m²*24h, while giving the packaging a metallic luster and enhancing shelf attractiveness.
Microwave Response Design
Integrated microwave sensitive coating generates a secondary heat source during microwave heating, forming a crispy layer on the surface of freeze-dried food and solving the problem of "soft on the outside and hard on the inside" caused by traditional microwave heating.
Environmental Adaptation
Develop recyclable modified PET and add bio-based plasticizers to achieve a degradation rate of 90% within 6 months in a composting environment, in compliance with the EU EN13432 standard.
Application Scenario: Full Industry Chain Coverage
Application Fields Technical Solutions Benefit Enhancement
Leisure Food Metallized PET+Easy Tear Design Shelf Life Extended by 30%, Bag Opening Rate Increased by 25%
Aerospace Food Three Layer Co-extruded High Barrier PET Radiation Strength Up to 50kGy
Pet Freeze Dried Food Matte PET+Anti Counterfeit Coating Brand Recognition Increased by 40%
Pharmaceutical Freeze Dried Preparations Medical Grade PET+Ethylene Oxide Sterilization Certification Passed ISO11607 Standard
Market Prospect: New Trend of Green Packaging
With an annual growth rate of 8.2% in the global freeze-dried food market, the demand for thermally laminated PET film has surged simultaneously. According to calculations, adopting this technology can reduce the weight of individual packaging by 15% and lower logistics costs by 18%. In the context of carbon neutrality, the research and development of bio-based PET films is becoming a new focus in the industry, and it is expected that the market penetration rate will exceed 20% by 2025.
